Flight to China

My 14-hour flight lasted shorter than expected. I slept most of the time despite my attempt to stay awake during the daylight hours in China's time zone.  I did end up watching 2 movies: the Chinese monster hunt that I had been wanting to watch for a long time but couldn't find a good source, and Chris Hemworth's Moby Dick movie. Luckily there was an empty spot between me and the lady sitting in my row. I could sit Indian style or like a damsel in distress. My legs were happy :) At first I didn't know where the lady was from. She looked like a stylish Asian lady in her 30s. However, her English and Mandarin weren't very good when she spoke to me and the flight attendants. Later, when she asked me to look at her transfer flight info, I realized why. She was a native Cantonese speaker. She had a transfer flight to Hong Kong after we landed in Beijing.
